Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

Here at the Woodcroft Branch of the EPL, they have a great section called the teens community. Books on teen issues such as smoking & drug use and how to prevent it. As well as mystery novels like The Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew to develop the thinking skills of the pre-teens, teens, young adults, and the parents of those teens that read the books with their children. Two young men here on the computers next to me are brothers and they love this section as its IV them alone in focus. But they also like the fact that their dad (a single father) reads to them for a half hour every night. Then whats really exciting is the boys bond with their father by taking over the reading on alternating weekends. So this is a family who is not just bonding, but by reading II eachother they are honing their literary skills. As well as diction & overall vocabulary skills.

Definitely A Positive Story All Around,

Rory
