Hon. Jeff Johnson, MLA
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O

Dear Jeff:

It should be noted that as we end Presidents Of The United States Week with XIVth President Franklin Pierce, Democrat-New Hampshire, I featured one Whig President, 3 Democrats, & 3 Republicans, thus giving each party equal time. So just like an election, giving neither side a tactical advantage over one another.

A. Captain Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce, the Chief Surgeon from the film & tv show "M*A*S*H" got his character name from this President & the "Benjamin" from the famous inventor & Founding Father of the United States Constitution.

B. Chose to "affirm" his office upon his swearing in on a law book rather than "swear" an oath to the Constitution. First President to ever recite the oath of office from memory.

C. Only President to have his entire cabinet stay in place IV an entire Presidential term.

Jane Means Appleton Pierce,

Rory
