Rory Fact 1:
I took the Canadian Army physical in MCMXCIX (1999) & failed it due to a bum ticker, which rules me out of both armed forces & police duty.
Harjit Fact 1:
The Member of Parliament for Vancouver-South & Minister Of National Defence, the Hon. Harjit Sajjan, PC (Liberal) certainly served with distinction on the ground as a field commander in Afghanistan, as well as with the Vancouver Police Department, but he never planned anything. But he is an honourable retired Lieutenant-Colonel, whose ability to speak Punjabi made him a tremendous asset during his service years.
Rory Fact 2:
I was born on November XIth, MCMLXXXIV (1974) & so have a tremendous respect for Harjit & other veterans & attend Remembrance Day ceremonies every year without exception.
Harjit Fact 2:
Is part of a Liberal administration wherein veterans under Veterans Affairs Minister the Hon. Kent Hehr, PC, MP, Liberal, Calgary-Centre are being shafted with one time payments instead of being allowed to stay on a monthly pension & many active duty soldiers are quite poor & have trouble supporting their families & have to rely on supports. To be fair, ex-PM Steve Harper, PC & his Conservative Vet & Defence Ministers also gave the shaft to Canadian vets with these forced buyouts.
Rory Fact 3:
My father Joe's birth country of The Netherlands was liberated from the Nazis by Canadian Forces in WWII.
Harjit Fact 3:
Harjit has been in the Liberal cabinet what XVIII (18) months now, & what really has he done besides making these embarrassing comments that bring dishonour to Her Majesty's Royal Canadian Armed Forces?
