Student Mail Access To Their Representatives

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

April Ist, MMXIV

Hon. Jeff Johnson, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O

Dear Jeff:

Having sent letters once or twice by paper mail to Members of Parliament (MP's), Senators, & Governors General myself, I can truly see the value in this service. If students & their family's want to really raise concerns about educational & other matters with federal politicians & Her Majesty's Representative for the Dominion Of Canada, they should do so by regular paper mail. If they sent it to Ottawa & put MP, Senator, or Governor-General on the Envelope its postage free. Plus, its just as cheap as sending and email. Since the comments &/or concerns being raised are in a sealed envelope, you as a constituent student are more likely to get an answer, & you don't have to be a constituent student, as long as you put the designated title of the representative on the envelope, you are free to mail anyone on Parliament Hill. Just as long as you write to them in Ottawa, b/c if you send your envelope to a constituency office, standard postage rates apply so students who want to save money follow these examples.

For Cabinet Ministers & Members Of The Privy Council Who Are Still MP's Write To:

The Right Hon. Stephen J. Harper, B.A., M.A., P.C., M.P.
The House Of Commons, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A6

For Regular MP's Write To:

Madam Ruth-Ellen Brosseau, MP
The House Of Commons, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A6

For Senators Write To:

Senator Grant Mitchell
The Senate Of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A4

For Governors General Write To:

His Excellency The Right Hon. David Johnston, C.C., C.M.M., C.O.M., F.R.S.C. (Hon.), F.R.C.P.S.C. (Hon.)
Rideau Hall, 1 Sussex Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0A1

Students having full access is important, if we want democracy to succeed & even flourish, then mail access to all representatives must always remain free!

Canada Post,

Rory
