December XXIst, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Nobel Peace Prize laureate & contributor to the founding of The United Nations, Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson was very effective in getting things done through negotiation. You might say as many others have that he was Canada's most "efficient" Prime Minister b/c he had to rely heavily on his diplomatic skills as he governed with II successive minority governments & never held a majority mandate during his tenure in office. As a former Minister Of External Affairs (now called Foreign Affairs), the PM had to keep the spirits up of Canadians looking to join our diplomatic core who were hesitant b/c of the possibility of failure. That is part of being a great leader & a morale boost or pep talk can rally folks to a cause. The PM shows people that everyone will succeed & everyone will fail in life, the point is they must live life & experience both & everything in between.

"Failures are made only by those who fail to dare, not by those who dare to fail."

Help Create Our Most Superb Current Canadian Flag,

Rory
