The Parliamentarians-Peggy Nash, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

January VIth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Urban students cannot always afford to travel. So its important that there are areas of nature for them to explore & learn from in an urban setting & Peggy Nash, MP is here to tell us all about it.

"In my riding, High Park, there is an outdoor school. It is very important for kids who live in the city. Often, people cannot afford to vacation in Muskoka because it is very expensive. For children, this outdoor school is a chance to learn about the importance of nature conservation. I recently took part in a walk through a park to observe bats. It was so important & so interesting for the kids. It is very important that we protect the environment, not only for today, but also for the future of our children."
