Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) in its infinite wisdom had its great NBC Saturday Night Live alumnus Dan Aykroyd (a sublime comedic talent from The Dominion of Canada I might point out) & Double Academy Award (TM) Winner Tom Hanks team up to play in a "Dragnet" movie spoof five years after Mr. Jack Webb, the legendary actor who played the original Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department died. Sure there are both good & bad days in police work, but you have to laugh at points to break the tension. Dan is playing the nephew & namesake of his famous late Uncle & also is ranked a Sergeant. Here Nephew/Sgt. Joe talks to his partner Officer Pep Streebeck in perfect staccato police fashion about speed limits & saving taxpayer & their family's funds, a "frugal" man just like his Uncle indeed!

"I'm well aware of the mandated speed limit, Streebeck. But, did it ever occur to you that, by going eight miles an hour slower, we might save some gasoline & ease the burden on our poor taxpayers out there who pay our salaries?"

Dan Has A Brilliant Mile A Minute Mouth,

Rory
