Dear Gordon:
In celebration of the police themed movie called "Hot Pursuit" starring the co-star of one of our II Joe Friday's (that being Ed O'Neill), a Sofia Vergara of "Modern Family" & Academy Award (TM) Winner Reese Witherspoon we bring in a relevant Joe Friday quote. The theme of the film is that Reece's cop character has to protect a female witness whose life is in danger & under threat from thugs. In the quote today, Joe Friday has to deal with a suspect who has already killed a woman, so the film's plot relates.
Right on the ball as always with his comments to idiotic thugs is Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department. Joe has just captured a man who in a drunken rage beat his fiance & the mother of his two kids to death. The suspect who admits his guilt insists he is sorry & loved his lady doesn't get get any sympathy from the Sarge. He shouldn't & Sgt. Friday expresses the moron's lie about "loving" the victim in a matter of fact way with comments we can all agree with.
