Whether here or in Los Angeles where Detective Joe Friday resides, hell: ANYWHERE, sexually based offences are considered especially heinous. The Los Angeles Police Department sends in Vice Squadron Commander Friday to investigate the death of a woman below a bridge when its discovered she was both a prostitute & a student. The difference being that it was as part of a "forced prostitution" ring, rather than in the format of "consensual sex." Something that the Sexual Assault Crisis Centre of Edmonton & other groups are doing a valiant job in combating & this is a file I would like to assist on if elected as the next MLA for Edmonton-Centre. Joe explains to his Detectives & younger & inexperienced officers that there is always a motive or message to these deranged perverts methods. Quite often, its so they can show they are a threat to others to violate them sexually &/or possibly murder them as well.

"Its to send a message to someone else: we did this to her, we'll do it to you to."
