Dear Dave:
We have Congressman John Shimkus of Illinois reflecting on how great a state boys basketball team was in winning a championship. This seems appropriate what with both the the National Basketball Association (NBA) & National Hockey League (NHL) Championship Final Series occurring right now. The leagues that these future generations of student players will aspire to be in.
"After struggling for much of the season, & their season on the brink, the Spartans put together an improbable ten-game winning streak which culminated in winning a state championship."
