May VIIth, MMXXIII
Hon. Adriana Lagrange, ECA, Minister of Education, United Conservative Candidate, Red Deer-North
Dear Adriana:
As I was driving this morning over to this Tim Hortons on this rainy morning I noticed all the heavy Caterpillars, John Deeres, & heavy equipment from other companies on 178 Street sitting around. Some of it even rusting from lack of upkeep & so many energy folks laid off from their jobs. There must be untold millions of this stuff sitting around the entire province not being used that could be patched up & thrown into service during this emerging crisis. Why not have United Conservative Leader & Premier Danielle Smith talk to these operators & companies?
I cannot help but think of anyone better suited to the task than New Democratic Leader & Former Premier & farm girl/4-H member Rachel Notley to handle this task (just as awesome as her dear late dad Grant.) Perhaps in tandem with Former Progressive Conservative Leader & Premier Ed Stelmach, a farmer by vocation. Perhaps they could use a section of Premier Stelmach's farm as a staging area to get equipment around the province by working with Minister Brian Jean, who of course has a primary residence in Fort McMurray. As well as having Justice Former Premier Dave Hancock, Progressive Conservative steer paperwork through The Court to get things done. He's a Family Court Justice & so I think would be glad to assist working families. And Former Premiers Alison Redford, Progressive Conservative & Jason Kenney, United Conservative have very sharp minds & would be able to steer things through in Southern Alberta. Minister Todd Loewen also has a farm so he could be a Northwestern drop off point for the machines.
As an aside, under Premier Peter Lougheed's staff & again under Premier Redford's staff there was consideration of a Joint Premiers Office in Lloydminster since it is located in both Alberta & Saskatchewan. This would get resources to the Eastern IIIrd of Alberta & Western Saskatchewan much faster in emergencies as the current fire situation.
We know that Carole Ann Devaney & Quinn Ohler of Global News Edmonton are on the side of right as they are married to Connor & Chris respectively, II of Edmonton Fire Department's hardest working & most handsome firefighters, way to show support ladies!
The "Premier"e League,
Rory
