On the IInd of May, MDCLXX (1670), sixteen-hundred & seventy, King Charles The IInd granted a charter to start up The Hudson's Bay Company Limited & the fur trade. Here on the VIth of May, MMXXIII (2023) two-thousand & twenty-three his ancestor King Charles The IIIrd was crowned as King. As the Alberta Election candidates campaign, they''ll see how appropriate it is that Charles campaigned for this specific date was crowned on the "VIth" of a month as his Dear Late Mother Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The IInd became Queen on February VIth, MCMLII (1952), nineteen-hundred &fifty-two when her papa, His Majesty King George The VIth died. So the VIth for both Mother & Son brings a great sense of continuity. His Majesty wisely gave us the transparency as he walks down his Coronation Street in a year with the number "III" as its end, just as his mum was also coronated in a year with the same ending number "III." Plus they both ascended the Throne in a year ending with a "II."
So as Charles campaigns to be the best Monarch he can be to His Majesty's Government Of Alberta, whether that be Leader Smith of Leader Notley that takes over, we can only wish him all the very best. Political students take note, this is my VIth or 6th post written in this series & is also written on the "VIth" of a month.
