Dear Thomas:
The educational value of positive adult role models in a child's life can never be discounted. Especially when a child doesn't have either a father or mother. Depending on which parent is missing, a young child can have his/her life improved greatly by signing up with Big Brothers/Big Sisters Edmonton. This fine group provides positive adult role models/mentors IV kids who are screened through a battery of tests. They must also go through a rigorous police background check.
