Collegiate Aspergers Syndrome Day

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #203, 8912-156 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T5R 5Z2

May XVth, MMXIII

Hon. Jeff Johnson, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O

Dear Jeff:

As a person & a former post-secondary student with aspergers syndrome, I know just how difficult we aspy's can be at times, even rather overbearing & annoying. Yes we are good people who are really engaged in every topic we discuss, but it does take a lot of effort to deal with us. This is why I am glad to hear the universities, colleges, trade schools schools & other learning institutions are putting in extra efforts to help us afflicted with this disorder so that we can truly learn. The sooner students with aspys learn how much effort it is to put up with them, the sooner that they can try & change/adjust their behaviours to adjust to society's normal standards.

UPEI Has A Great Hockey Team,

Rory
