April XXXth, MMXV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed.
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative Candidate, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

I was touched at the reach out by the St. Joseph's Catholic High School on CIXth (109th) Street last Friday to me & the other candidates in Edmonton-Centre. I, as a Protestant appreciate this Catholic school of excellent character inviting me to attend the event & hand out election literature to the students, who are without a doubt the voters of the future! From St. Joseph's Basilica, all the way to the school & many Catholic voters, Catholicism has a rich history in Edmonton-Centre & thoughout Alberta of providing us many great public servants. For instance, the Right Hon. Charles Joseph Clark, PC, former Prime Minister Of Canada is Catholic & from Alberta. Catholic Social Services on down & many Catholic charities work in tandem to make life better for those less fortunate in the riding & I appreciate these efforts greatly. I also feel encouraged that the auditorium was packed with Social Studies students, both straight & LGBTQ Catholic students, as well as students not of the Catholic faith who attend St. Joe's! And to think it was the students themselves who organized this political gathering, they should be very proud!

Joey Bishop,

Rory
