Dear David:

Daniel Haines is an amazing senior. Illterate until adulthood, he was ashamed & constantly coming up with ways II hide his deficiency. He even became so depressed at points that he battled booze & suicidal thoughts rather than admit his trouble. So he sought out Project Adult Literacy (PALS) with help in learning reading skills. So in otherwords, he became an adult student & was matched with a volunteer tutor named Kate Hume. Kate didn't judge him, she just found books that interested Danny & also helped him garner writing skills. Truly a match made in heaven!

Danny is still tutored II this day & is no longer ashamed of needing a little help. Age LXIII (63) now, Danny is such a rock star at being a continuing literary student, that he mentors others in the PALS Students IV Students Literacy Program & sits on the Board of Directors IV Literacy Alberta. Danny says "its never too late to learn, you're not alone, & don't be afraid to try."

Your Right Danny "One Person Can Make A Difference",

Rory
