Dear Jeff:
While I stongly & most vociferously disagree with Trinity Western University's decision to make students sign a "covenant" that will not engage in homosexual activities &/or relations, I absolutely respect their right to do so. TWU in the Fraser Valley is a school with a superb reputation & part of that is in its Christian focus. So if students of Order & Law cannot agree to abide by a document that they are asked to sign in advance for TWU's as yet to be built law school, then they should perhaps continue looking to learn about the law & legal precedents elsewhere. Gay groups & transsexual/gender groups are always talking about freedom of sexuality & freedom to espouse their choice of any religion despite being part of the LGTBQ community, but they are never tolerant of groups of a differing opinion whom in this case are TWU & its affiliates/friends the right to espouse their religious philosophy in whatever contextual manner they choose. Lets have tolerance all around & let TWU spread its message of tolerance for gays (they do have gay students) & straight people living in harmony & making the world better IV all!
Manhattan District Attorney Jack McCoy,
Rory
