Hon. Jeff Johnson, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Athabasca-Sturgeon-RedH2O
Dear Jeff:
When the wife of Former Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Hon. Charles Joseph Clark, Progressive Conservative: a Mrs. Maureen McTeer-Clark saw this picture of her husband & Former Madam Premier Alison M. Redford, QC, Now Feeding Ducks By The Pond At Her Calgary-Elbow Home together at Former South African President Nelson Mandela's funeral, African National Congress-Johannesburg, she almost lost her mind.
You see Jeff, students should know that back in the Ottawa days when Charles Joseph had Alison working for him there was some back-biting & jealousies. Insults were traded between Maureen & Alison, thus Maureen demanded that Charles Joseph being a Crown Minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Martin Brian Mulroney, QC, Progressive Conservative transfer Alison out as she felt insulted. So Charles Joseph picked a spot on the map as far away as possible & that spot was as a human rights lawyer in South Africa for Alison. Thus a perfect fit & it prevented further diplomatic problems & brouhahas between Minister Clark's wife & the Former Madam Premier.
So as a result Jeff, students need II learn that the reason Alison took the private plane from South Africa not so she could get to the swearing in of her cabinet the following Friday, but instead to appease Mrs. McTeer-Clark's mind so she wouldn't be angry with the Former PM at having ridden both ways on the plane with the Former Madam Premier Redford. He had already been getting an earful in taking the plane to South Africa with her. So bIV folks keep up the attacks on the Former Madam Premier, you have II see things from her side, she was just trying II stop family squabbles for Charles Joseph. As a result, her actions in spending the higher airfare at taxpayers expense were 100% fully justified! (As I've inferred all along!)
Nelson Mandela's XXVII (27) Years In Jail Were Less Taxing Than Ally's XXIX (29) Months In Office As Premier,
Rory
