January XXIst, MMXV
Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow
Dear Gordon:
Although a Conservative MP, the Hon. Andrew Scheer, PC, MP that while looking after his constituents, he must be as youngest ever elected Speaker Of The House Of Commons absolutely neutral & unbiased. So if the the Opposition is right on a Parliamentary matter as opposed to the Government whose banner he ran under, Andy must according to Roberts Rules of Order ensure every decision is make to proper exacting standards & precedents. It really is at many points a harder job than being Prime Minister: almost like a powder keg! You'll note that I have placed Andy's picture in the centre rather to the right to show respect that he is like an Independent MP & must be more central-focused on what is good for the chamber & not just IV his Tory colleagues!
"Base name calling & questioning the motives of other honourable members create a toxic environment & that is what Canadians feel let down the most about. By showing each other the mutual respect we would expect from anyone else is very important."
Number CCLIII (253),
Rory
