Sign Sickness

Hon. Demetrios Nicolaides, B. A., M. P. S., Ph. D. ECA, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Calgary-Bow

Dear Demetrios:

Personally I am beyond sickened to hear of the campaign sign destruction that took place here in Sherwood Park the other day all over The Dominion Of Canada for this writ. It happened to me when I ran under the Progressive Conservative banner in MMXX in Edmonton-West (a quarter of a century ago this coming November, worst mistake of my life). Just over 30 of my signs were uprooted & found burning in a field just west of Edmonton, so RCMP had case notes on it, but nothing came of it. They are expensive plus PC Canada didn't pay for my entire sign costs as I was lower budgeted I paid for some myself.

I had intended to use them again to run for an alternate office or two, but the rest were destroyed in a flood in my mom's apartment basement condo. So all that hard work by designers & printers to make them for me & folks to aide my dad & me putting the signs up. It bothers me to this day still, it wasn't right when done to me. Nor is it right when done to anyone else!

Henrietta Muir Edwards,

Rory
