As I have done many times before in this blog on education, I just pick a date, any date of the year & you & other readers will find it quite interesting as history is always evolving, changing, & occuring.
Events Of September Ist:
1. MDCXXXVIII (1638): French Queen-mother Maria de'Medici visits Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
2. MDCCLII (1752): The Liberty Bell arrives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
3. MDCCCVII (1807): Former U. S. Vice-President Aaron Burr, Democratic-Republican , New York acquitted of trying to set up his own Empire.
4. MDCCCXXXI (1831): Naturalist Charles Darwin travels aboard the HMS Beagle.
5. MCMV (1905): Alberta & Saskatchewan become the VIIIth & IXth Canadian provinces respectively. One year later in MCMVI (1906), Alberta adopts the concept of Standard Time.
6. MCMXLIV (1944): His Majesty King George The VIth promotes General Sir Bernard Law Montogomery to the rank of "Field Marshal.")
7. MMVI (2006): Luxembourg is the first nation to adopt all digital television broadcasting.
