As with all wars, we as a Dominion must take time to thank the families of those served & the sacrifices they make. On the National Day Of Honour thanking Afghani Battle Command Theatre soldiers, Patricia Davidson, MP emphasizes this fact rather smartly in a statement to her constituents.

"It is essential that we also remember the strength, love & resolve shown by the families of those who served in Afghanistan. To the mothers & fathers, wives, husbands, sisters & brothers, daughters & sons, family & friends who have supported their loved ones during dangerous deployments & who have sacrificed family time so they could serve, & especially those who lost loved ones during the deployment of our Canadian Armed Forces-our Nation also joins together to honour you on this day."
