It Is Rather Regrettable

Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

As I wait hear in the airport coffee shop for my connecting flight back to YEG, I find it an interesting template of what the NDP killing of the energy sector is doing. People talk nearby about losing their jobs & about having to leave the province, or even the country to get work. Some talk on cellphones to say their goodbyes as many are forced to leave their families including their kids behind until they can make alternate arrangements. Still others have to say their goodbyes in person, & in a couple of cases entire families are sitting in the coffee shop having to wait to board & you can see how anxious they are. The carbon tax should be delayed, by both Rachel & Justin. As should the closing of the coal mines. In fact: we should open up all coal mines to full capacity & bring back oil & gas reserves to full capacity so we can suck the resources dry & provide good energy jobs so folks don't have to leave Alberta, it is just common sense. Also, all lawsuits or potential lawsuits against power companies who are already hurting badly should be ceased. In this way, they can face a more certain economic future as well!

Arrivals/Departures,

Rory
