Dear Jeff:

Alphabetized holds & requests at library branches are extremely handy. I notice the traffic at the front desk is way less clogged up when customers including students go to the hold section. Another option is to have a library staffer at the back of the library help them see if they have an item in stock. This leaves the front lobby way of each branch free & clear, thus making it easier IV folks to enter & exit the premises.
