Dear Jeff:

Librarians at different EPL branches near to remind customers to slide their returns all the way thru so they don't get stuck in the slot, thereIV clogging it up. I would like to add that library students need to keep their fingers, hands, & face away from the slot upon closing it as there is a risk that they could pinch or otherwise injure themselves upon giving in their respective returns. Having done this a few times myself, let me tell you, metal is much harder than the human hand!
