Dear Jeff:

Students need to be encouraged to attend former Premier Ralph Klein's funeral if they can in Calgary on Friday. I must work so I cannot, but I signed the Alberta Government's Condolence Book to Mrs. Colleen Klein & family here at the Alberta Legislature yesterday. Even if they miss a few hours of school, the funeral will be a lesson in political history for students now that we have lost one of former leaders who in his time had a huge influence on how Alberta would move forward.
