Independent films do not always get the same notice as Hollywood or foreign made blockbusters. Which of course is a real shame as they quite often have topics & styles of being made that are more interesting than these more expensive films. Sometimes, they even have a storyline, rather than the flash & dance of killing people & blowing stuff up that is out there. Edmonton Public Library branches encourage people II go II their website & come in & borrow independent films. Every branch has a fine selection.
