Dear Jeff:

Lately, Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department is having to deal with loud & mouthy local college & university students who are also into student athletics. As they are muscle toned & extra strong, they are taking advantage of their size to commit armed robberies of seniors & poor people who cannot fight back, & also, people who witness statements in case they &/or their family members come II further harm. The suspects seem II know their rights & Sgt. Friday is forced to release them after 72 hours for "suspicion of armed robbery." The suspects outright admit they did the robberies but laugh at the Sgt. b/c he has no "tangible proof" by independent IIIrd party's & so must release them until they rob again & actually have a cooperating witness. So the Sgt. asks these student athlete punks a reasonable question about their unsavoury law breaking actions.

"Why'd you break it?"
