Dear Demetrios:

The one thing that the new Mayor must respect his that his or her vote is not worth more than the votes of each of the 12 new City Councillors. It is a 1 of 13 vote. The recent non-votes of Councillors Tim Cartmell & Sarah Hamilton will attest to this as their votes would have made the stupid infill housing 6 units maximum each, which would have much better than these 8 unit complexes. Just because the mayor is elected city wide & council members are each elected from a ward. Each of their votes is of paramount importance in steering the administrative functions of the next 4 year term of office from MMXXV-MMXXIX. The same principle applies to school boards as well with each ward they represent weighted equally.
