Dear Jeff:

Pioneering CTV Sports broadcaster & executive Johnny Esaw has died. He was 87 & died Saturday of respiratory failure. He was a great sports figure & a great television executive. Johnny made tv sports exciting, in particular international sports like the Olympics which no one else seemed to care about. Students who are fans of athleticism & great sports tv should study the career of Johnny. He helped bind us as a nation by bringing the sports world to family tv sets. He set the tone IV quality sports programming & broadcasting.
