October XIIIth, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed.
Minister of Education,
Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow Byelection Candidate As Unelected

Dear Gordon:

Jean Crowder, MP is on the case for the promotion of just how stupid & racist & degrading residential schools were. By gosh, she's right on the mark, they were terrible. Jean's cause is taken up with "Orange Shirt Day" as she terms it. What a shall we say "colourful" way to highlight these despicable tragedies that happen to native children in our own Canadian back yard.
"Mr. Speaker, today is Orange Shirt Day, in recognition of the harm the residential school system did to children's sense of self-esteem & well-being. It is also intended as an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that everyone around us matters, particularly children."
Number LXXIX (79),
Rory
