The Parliamentarians-Wayne Easter, PC, MP

Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8

October XXIInd, MMXIV

Hon. Gordon Dirks, B,. Ed., M. Ed., Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow Candidate As Unelected

Dear Gordon:

As a proud Prince Edward Islander, the Hon. Wayne Easter, PC, MP is very concerned about family potato farms & keeping them healthy & properly served. Thus ensuring disease free potato crops which is PEI's main crop & thus provides much of its agricultural revenue. Here, Her Majesty's Government is planning on closing potato & inspection offices, thus decreasing service & quality levels II farmers & so Wayne asks why?

"They will claim government efficiency. But what about farm efficiency & working on the farms & the farmer's ability to drop in & see an inspector? Much easier to do in the Borden area where a lot of the farmers in the community are, rather than in an office in a downtown area."

Number CIII (103),

Rory
