Dear Gordon:

With the provincial election writ about to be dropped to see who will be our next Her Majesty's Government, perhaps it appropriate for us to hear from Governor Terry Branstad of Iowa, a man who knows how to hold power & is currently the IInd longest serving Governor in U.S. history on his VIth term. Terry comments on the importance of students knowing about mathematics & finances in order so that they can properly save up & look after their own & any family members needs & be productive Iowans.

"We know our children need to be financially literate in order to have a bright future. We also know that financial literacy is critical for our state's economic future. Many Iowans, including educators, financial services experts, & elected officials have expressed concerns about the status of financial literacy in Iowa."
