Hon. Gordon Dirks, B. Ed., M. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Calgary-Elbow

Dear Gordon:

Founder of The United States Department of Education, President Jimmy Carter (a naval officer & peanut farmer by trade) was definitely big on supporting education. What with all of this talk of terrorist groups & extremists, its good to hear from Pres. Carter as he won the Nobel Peace Prize post-presidency & had some idea as to how we should all be living at peace, no matter what religious set of beliefs we have.

"We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different hopes, different dreams. Whether the borders that divide us are picket fences or national boundaries, we are all neighbors in a global community."

January XXth, MCMLXXVII (1977)-January XXth, MCMLXXXI (1981),

Rory
