Rory J. Koopmans, B. Admin., #6, 14504-108 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5N 1G8
November XVIIIth, MMXVI
Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder
Dear Dave:
Let political science students be aware that Sandra Jansen, MLA, New Democratic, Calgary-North West crossed the floor because she wants to be in cabinet again. While David Swann, MD, MLA, Liberal, Calgary-Mountain View is a nice guy, she wasn't going to get to be in power with the Grits or with Greg Clark, B.A., M. B. A., MLA, Alberta, Calgary-Elbow. So she gives up the chance to be leader in order to be a strong voice in the Premier Rachel Notley, B. A., LL. B., MLA, New Democratic, Edmonton-Strathcona cabinet.
Position Possiblity One:
Minister of Womens Issues. Not to displace the Hon. Stephanie McLean, B. A., LL. B., MLA New Democratic, Calgary-Varsity but to give the portfolio a higher media profile since Sandy is an ex tv news anchor.
Position Possibility Two:
Minister of LGBTQ & Transgender Issues. A portfolio especially created for Sandy in which she'd be ever so sharp & passionate on.
An Editor's Note: If Candidate Kenney doesn't win the PC Alberta Leadership then Sandy has really screwed the pooch in leaving hasn't she?!
Sandy & Rachel,
Rory
