Kids Camp Safety

Hon. Demetrios Nicolaides, B. A., M. P. S., Ph. D., ECA, MLA, Minister of Education, United Conservative, Calgary-Bow

Dear Demetrios:

Having worked about 3.5 years at various Tim Hortons as a worker, then later as a 3-11pm "swing shift" supervisor, I can truly see how important it is to support their Kids Camps. So I make sure to buy a coffee or 2 on "Camp Day" each year & volunteer behind the tills to help with the added heavier amount of customers for a few hours each year at 1 or 2 locations. This spirit of volunteerism is good & I am pretty sure there are Kids Camps in the Battle River-Crowfoot byelection area. Candidates must realize how important it is to keep kids & their instructors/family/friends who may visit safe when in camp. They must advocate through Parks Canada (since we are talking a federal byelection here), as well as with other governing officials to improve camp safety standards. Perhaps Timmy's management should look at hiving off a portion of their "Camp Day" donations to help our poor friends in the great State of Texas rebuild their camps & find all the remaining missing folks to ensure people have closure & peace.

"Camptown Races Sing This Song",

Rory
