Dear Gordon:

For Sergeant Joe Friday of the Los Angeles Police Department, whenever the XIIIth (13th) of a month is a Friday its very hard. There seems to something in the already muggy L.A. air. Robberies go up on that day & so the Sarge has to now learn to have a sympathetic ear for a woman who has been a kleptomaniac. In otherwords stealing for no other reason than the "need to do it" & not for "profit." He is trying to get at the "root cause" of the female thief's need to take without asking items that are not hers & maybe try & get her some mental help such as counselling through Los Angeles Health Department services.

"She admitted her urge to steal things had started as far back as her Junior High School years. She admitted as a girl she stole books, tablets, pencils, pieces of chalk & as she grew older, it seemed to get more serious with her. It carried over into her college years & thats when her stealing first got her into trouble."

Definitely Sounds Psychology Might Help Joseph,

Rory
