An excellent commentary by Pedro Arrais of the Victoria Times-Colonist today. He's highlighting the mud framed structure built by Ann & Gordon Baird. Its solar panels & efficient use of energy makes them a net supplier of power to the British Columbia electricity grid. In fact, each & every weekday a school bus tour of students come to the home for a look at how to be a responsible citizen of the world. Being friendly to the environment will cause the Baird's to pass on this wisdom to the students, who will then want to build their own environmentally sustainable homes.
