I. "I looked at the fact that education was the jurisdiction of the Province."

- Former Progressive Conservative Premier E. Peter Lougheed on why he entered provincial, as to federal politics. A Harvard MBA graduate & a lawyer.

II. "The family has to be a team, & respect eachother & work together. That builds family loyalty."

- Former Progressive Conservative Premier Donald R. Getty on instilling in students the importance of family values & why he created the Family Day statutory holiday.

III. "Children's services was very important."

- Former Progressive Conservative Premier Ralph P. Klein on the value he places on putting kids first, by creating the Department of Children's Services to help students of all ages get a strong start in life.

IV. "We have committed $35 billion towards infrastructure in the last five years to prepare IV the growth that we know will come. That's a source of pride."

- Current Progressive Conservative Premier Edward M. Stelmach on why he committed so much to infrastructure, including the building of new schools & the repair of older ones.
