Hon. Dave Eggen, B. Ed., MLA, Minister of Education, New Democratic, Edmonton-Calder

Dear Dave:

As we venture over to Clara Tyner Elementary School, we give thanks that Principal Connie Spasiuk is so focused on getting attention to students in Kindergarten so quickly. In this Kindergarten through Grade Six facility, students are taught the values of being responsible, looking after their physical well-being, using their creative thoughts to come up with positive ideas, being a part of a true community, & to really be excited about literacy & learning. Wow, talk about a true road map of learning excellence!

- Clara Tyner field trips are great because they teach healthy adult & student bonding. Plus, the parents get to act as mentors as they jointly enjoy the learning adventure with their children!

- Clara Tyner is big on promoting good character development in it students. Truly admirable, as character traits that are good can lead to positive developments later in life such as career choices!

- Upon opening in MCMLXVI (1966), Clara Tyner was the first school in the Edmonton Public Division to be named after a woman. This was & is a great development for female accomplishment & equality!

"Class & Character",

Rory
