Dear David:

A split decision in Edmonton Youth Court David. As a Q.C. you can appreciate the Judge's ruling that the teenagers who swarmed the Edmonton Police Service officer were provoked and wouldn't have surrounded him if their friend had not been punched. In the St. Gabriel School school grounds. Certainly the students should not have been yelling vitriol at the officers but the officers had no business being so violent towards the students/youths when they had tasered him already. Resulting in his incapacitation. The youths had given the officers their names after a mediated discussion, so in this situation the police were just too heavy handed.

Regards,
