Dear David:

A very good column by the Edmonton Journal's Paula Simons on Page B1 on June XVth, MMX. It really does seem rather shameful that Premier Edward Michael & the Province are stuffing our artifacts & treasures away in stuffy warehouses. Seems to me that in order to increase aboriginal pride and cultural pride as a whole, the Province & the School Board should enter a joint sharing revenue agreement & stick the artifacts in the halls and rooms of closing schools which will bring them back to life, as satellite museums of the Royal Alberta Museum.

The increased revenues could then be plowed back into the neighbouring communities for hot meal & inoculation programs. This would be extremely helpful to the children who have lost their inner city schools. We cannot learn definitively about the future unless we adequately explore our past.

Happy Birthday II My Cousin Sandy,

Rory
