Dear David:

Hopefully kids her age are cheering her on. Having scoliosis myself as a youngster (which cut back my athletic abilities) I strongly support Edmonton student Flory Saslavsky's decision to have spinal straightening surgery with titanium rods implanted in her back. I hope she makes a full recovery & has a great life.

I had the electrocharge therapy on my back IV three years through the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital (attached to the Royal Alexandra Hospital) to prevent my spine from getting worse. It worked and was great as the position of my curvature didn't allow IV surgery.

So kids of all ages cheer on Flory when she undergoes surgery on Wednesday. She seems like a great young lady who with successful surgery will contribute greatly to society. She might even serve as a scoliosis ambassador IV other kids!

Regards,

Rory
