Dear David:
It seems to me that if the Paul Band First Nation's want true accountability, all Federal funds IV their educational needs should be frozen immediately. For at least the time it takes them to graduate their students at a reasonably cognizant level. 65% reading at a Grade 2 level while in High School, that is quite frankly David appalling, to say the least.
Besides why shold native tribes get Federal educational funding for non-post secondary institutions when school districts across the Province are suffering from severe budget cutbacks & deficits? There should be equal funding levels for all. These non native districts get no Federal funds, its seems there is a funding issue of discrimination & a lack of fiscal accountability by the school Principal & members of the Paul Band including its Chief, Daniel Paul.
Regards,
Rory
