June XXIXth, MMX

Hon. David G. Hancock, QC, MLA, Minister of Education, Progressive Conservative, Edmonton-Whitemud

Dear David:

Well this is great news. There appears II be a recognition breakthrough going on in terms of aboriginal children that are buried in a forgotten graveyard. These fine students were buried just west of Red Deer near the old Red Deer Industrial School. I give kudos II the landowner IV having the class to preserve the site & it burial history. I must also say that its great that the Sunnybrook United Church is trying II make amends by finding out where the graves were & researching historical records so that aboriginal culture is not forgotten. Its definitely a great start.

The healing ceremonies on June XXXth, MMX starting at 11AM are a great idea. The Cree bands have been given a decent budget & venue II heal & remember the fallen students. These students had a hard life full of disease & despair. It is my considered opinion that they need II be remembered.

Graciously,

Rory
