Dear David:

The Fraser Institute's stating why do we not have universal rules about feeding and clothing kids when we fully fund education. The argument by its representative, Mr. Peter Cowley is stupid and arrogant. We do not have rules about feeding kids b/c different kids like different things. And there of course students with certain allergens to different food types. So not all foods can be doled out in the same fashion to every child.

We need universal funding IV education II give each kid at every socioeconomic level a chance at going onto to trade, college or perhaps even university. Just go into any Edmonton school cafeteria. There are different menus every day. Foods for kids with allergy's and even days when special ethnic menus with safe food items are served to kids. Ie: Kosher food IV Jewish students and those who want II try these delicacies.

I was in the NAIT cafeteria in March and there were some junior high school kids walking through. They were touring some of the trades programs and were checking II see if there was any Ukranian food on the menu as their friend who was sick was Ukranian & they wanted II try what he liked. I pointed out to their adult guardian & tour guide the perogies, cabbage rolls and goulash. As a NAIT Alumni I know good cooking when I see it. And kids of all ages need II be fed different foods not just IV nutritional needs, but II give them a taste and understanding of other ethnic foods and groups & how they eat, are nurtured and grow.

Regards,

Rory
