Dear David:

We must always stress the value of public service II Alberta students. I can think of no better example then Edmonton City Councillor Ron Hayter. XXXIII (33) years on City Council when he stands down in XC (90) days and VI (6) years on the National Parole Board. Plus many years on the Boxing & Baseball Commissions. L (50) plus in all. What a guy, more consecutive days in office then anyone else on City Council, living or dead, even beating out the masters, Terry Cavanaugh & the late Ed Leger.

The way he is leaving is the way he came in. With grace, respect & honour. Never wanted II be Mayor because he knew a Councillor (& Alderman beIV that) still also had 1 of 13 votes. He knew that he could do more then a Mayor by running a great ground game & just focusing on the citizens of Ward 2. Students should definitely look to him as a man of class! I know I do!
