Dear David:

I cannot understand why the neighbours of Kristjan Bullock would object II him keeping a small beehive around. Alberta students must know the value of bees to nature in keeping things pollinated. Pollination is key in sustaining life and starting afresh again. Not to mention the billions of dollars of economic spinoffs the bee products made bring to our forestry and agriculture sectors.

There has been a worldwide drop of 40% (and greater in some areas) of bees. I would think a young man trying to bring them back and "be"e one with nature would be considered a positive environmental development. In my mind what Kristjan is doing makes remarkable sense. He could (if allowed) give guided tours of his hive which would encourage students to become bee farmers &/or involved in the agricultural sector themselves. A truly noble trade.
