Dear David:

Its definitely very important that we let Forestry 1010 students of today as well as Forestry Certificate programs how important the Boreal Forest is David. Especially in this hard slogging, tough summer what with pine beetle infestation, logging encroachments and forest fires. People who live in huge metro areas like Edmonton have lots of parks. But, parks are never a substitute IV full on forests.

If you look at the Course Syllabus's IV the Alberta Distance Learning Centre Forestry courses, they do teach about the importance of both clearing brush & planting new seeding trees II begin II let forest life start anew. But they must increasingly stress and I can't emphasize this enough how important those trees are II the very ecosystem of wildlife itself. They need those forest conditions not just II survive, but to thrive as well. Not to mention producing offspring & giving them a decent chance at living good life.

Blessings II Your American Cousins,

Rory
