Dear David:

Yes there is a dire shortage of daycare spaces in smaller urban & rural centres David. But Yvonne Fritz's call II shut the Stony Plain Daycare was 100% right effective July XXIVth (24th.) Its my personal belief that if even one kid in daycare is being affected negatively, then that can have a negative effect on every other kid in their charge. Not II mention the many parents & guardians & extended family members who might have concerns.

It might make sense David IV your colleague Yvonne at Children's Services bring in say non based, grandparent guardians act as volunteer dayhome overseers. Just feed them a hot meal IV their time. Since seniors are retired, this activity will make them feel useful again. They can offer up suggestions and track daily activity's. Making sure that the kids are being fed, loved & nurtured properly by the adult providers. Once the problems are ironed out, they can then be sent inII other daycares.

Regards,

Rory
